FAQs

  • Sessions are $200 and the standard therapeutic hour lasts 50min.

  • Bales Counseling is a self-pay practice. While they do not work directly with insurance companies, they do offer specialized receipts, called Super Bills, which some clients send to their insurance companies for reimbursement (check with your specific health insurance company).

  • Yes, if you would like to make a two-hour (100 min) session, feel free to do so.

  • Yes, please discuss this with Josh or Mindy in session and they will work with you to find a time that works weekly. This often removes the hassle of scheduling weekly for you, and always ensures your preferred spot weeks in advance.

  • Unfortunately, there is no universal answer to this question. In general, Mindy and Josh have observed that clients find it useful to plan on an initial average of 4 to 6 sessions. After this, clients usually have a sense of what further therapy they need, if any. Some stop counseling at this point. Others report they are “just getting started.” What’s important is that you feel the sessions are needed, useful, and productive for you in promoting the mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual health you are seeking.

  • Some clients prefer to schedule a counseling intensive which consists of several sessions back to back (usually) over a period of two days. The intensive schedule (for individuals or couples) begins at 10am and concludes at 3pm with a 1 hour break for lunch at 12pm. Fridays and Saturdays are often convenient times for this work. If you are interested in scheduling an intensive, please contact Josh and Mindy via this website.
